Lab Tests
Lab tests that are performed in our office are:
EOSINOPHIL SMEAR
- Used for diagnosing allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis and allergic post nasal drainage
RAPID GROUP A STREP SCREENING
- Ten minute test for Group A Streptococcus in the throat
INFLUENZA SCREENING
- Used for detecting the flu virus. A nasal sample is used to perform this rapid diagnostic screen.
ROUTINE URINALYSIS
- A quick and easy test for an array of parameters that help in diagnosing medical conditions using the patient’s urine.
KOH
- (Potassium Hydroxide) a preparation used to rule out a fungal/yeast skin condition. A small amount of skin scrapings are collected for this test.
