Jane Theotokatos Purser, M.D.
Dr. Jane Purser, a native of Boulder, Colorado, received her Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree from the University of Colorado. She joined the Allergy Clinic of Tulsa, Inc. in 1993.
She is board-certified in Allergy/Clinical Immunology. She trained at the University of California at Los Angeles – St. Mary Medical Center for her Internship and Residency in internal medicine and UCLA Medical Center for her Allergy and Immunology Fellowship.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is a member and past-president of the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Society. She is also a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, Tulsa County Medical Society, Oklahoma State Medical Association, American Medical Association and American Lung Association.
She served on the Medical Advisory Board of the American Lung Association and participates in teaching workshops and lectures around the Tulsa medical community. She, along with the other physicians in the practice, actively volunteers for the Neighbors Along the Line program.
She is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center – Tulsa. She also served as Chair of the Women in Medicine Committee. She and her associates use their office as a teaching module for Internal Medicine, Pediatric, and Family Practice Residents for both the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and Oklahoma State University School of Osteopathy. She has co-authored several articles in her field.
She has been married to Gordon Purser, PhD, a chemistry professor at the University of Tulsa, for many years and has two children currently attending college. She also participates in medical mission trips to Guyana, South America.
